Keep Going! Here’s How if You’re an Employee

Are you getting more sluggish in your mornings or are you anxious a lot more easily instead? Is the moving every day from home to office getting more tedious? Are you questioning what you’re doing, or how you’re doing it, more often? Are you being micromanaged in what seems endless time? Are you feeding your body more caffeine or nicotine just to get through what seems diminishing time? Do you feel like your work is increasing faster than your pay? Is it getting that you can’t remember the last time you had for yourself, except for the couple of hours of deep sleep? Is your family complaining that you don’t have time for them?

If you answered, “yes”, to one or more of the questions, then…

How do you cope? How can you overcome all of it? Where do you find happiness?

Well, some of us are doing it, are happy, and it’s no secret how.

It’s in how you perceive things. Literally, do you look at things more positively or more negatively. You could be in a place of despair, or lost, can you find strength in yourself and trust it? You may just need to remind yourself sometimes that you can.

Life begins with YOU. Live your life like how capable you are of loving yourself. Yin and yang. Where there is despair, there is hope. Where there is sadness, there is happiness. Where there is loathing, there is loving.

It’s never too late to recalibrate. Have a vison of where you’d like to be and do what’s possible for you to get there. Keep it modest and you may exceed it. Keep it lofty and you may get close. Either way, it’s upward and onward.

Don’t forget the importance of a pause. Learn to read the signs of your negativity so you know when you need to pause. It could be a deep breath or an extended vacation, just don’t forget to do it.

Don’t sell yourself short. It usually is a long road to success; you need to pace yourself and you need your organization to support your pace. Expectations run both ways and communicating them has always been key.

Now close your eyes for a second. Welcome back, it’s a new and bold world for you.
