Learning something new, something that you’ve been trying to wrap your head around for a while, or something that would help you, can sometimes be very challenging and difficult. The barriers to learning are many, but the approach to drop them are similar. Here’s our list:
- Be receptive and appreciative – don’t disregard anyone, especially those closest to you
- All questions are good – unless you don’t wait for responses
- Don’t procrastinate practice – enjoy what you do and make practice fun
- Collaborate – peer groups in the digital age can be veritable fountains
- Introspect regularly – all mechanisms could do with some fine tuning now and again
- Ego is not bigger than id – until you make it… don’t make it
- Practice wellness – calmness is always the best approach
- Research, research, research!
- Remember, knowledge is not wisdom
